- What are Linux users?

- Why Nix?

  - ~OCD~ I'm very specific
    - terminal on desktop 2, firefox on 3
    - need to achieve anything in 2 or 3 keypresses
    - lid close should not make laptop sleep
    - caps and escapse should be swapped
    - windows should look a certain way
    - new window should break in half and open a certain way - need predictability
    - but settings should open as flaoting
  - configurability
  - reproducibility
  - faster setup
    - switched 3 laptops in the past 1.5 years

  - ask someone to switch to a desktop / open a few tabs etc
  - demo changing USE_RECOMMENDATION in settings.py
    - worked because OS is configured so that a given app is present at a given place
    - because vim has keys which will do exactly the same thing on the same keypress

- Is it perfect?

  - Ofcourse not. Far from it. For example, I cannot see my mouse pointer on my termial and its irritating when I want to copy paste errors for searching
  - bluetooth wans't working until last week
  - battery life 5 hours compared to maybe 9 hours on your devices
  - I for the love of God cannot edit HTML file
  - but I still prefer these imperfections over MacOS
